Google Finance Android App Review

Finance for Android brings you streaming real-time quotes in this stock quote and portfolio application. It synchronizes with your Google Finance portfolios, allows quick access to charts and lets you view the latest market and company news.
Continually fails to add stock chosen, to portfolio. When it occasionally does add, it has replaced a prior one rather than added a new one. And is there overseas market support? I can search and find some overseas stocks eg in new Zealand, but nit others.
Rarely lets you add tickers. Thought google apps were flawless, guess not. Other than that its the best thing for watching stocks on android right now. And it still is only worth 3 stars.

The essential feature I am interested in is displaying my Google Finance portfolios and this app fails to show them correctly. Several positions are missing in at least one portfolio :-( Needs fixing.

Glitches all over the place. Sometimes looking up another stock will overlap with the previous stock and give false numbers. This app needs a re-work. Until then it's a pretty frustrating program.

I downloaded this app to monitor some stocks, but every time I tried to add a stock ticker, I got "Failed to add (name) to portfolio". Reinstalling fixed it.

I am surprised the length of time this app was out and no major updates to the user interface and features. Shame on Google for not making better apps for it own operating system.

I have been using thus app for a while. Now it does not update the time nor the stock prices. I have to click on each stock individually to get an updated quote. Please resolve this problem asap. I am using Motorola Droid bionic.

It won't even let me load my own portfolio, and when I use the "Add ticker" button it just says "Failed to add GOOG to portfolio". Useless. Update: Finally loaded my portfolio. Change to two stars instead of one.

Charts don't work. Real time quotes? More like this app is real time sucky. Widget quotes delayed, need to hit refresh in the app. And its wonky on 4.1.2. Sucks out loud really.

Extremely slow to load news and longer time to load news in landscape view. An ad blocks the news when you try to read it but does not go away and could not remove it! Is that app from real Google?

I like this app but it won't allow me to add my own stocks it keep saying ticker failed? I will give it a 5 star rating when they fix this problem.

Unlike the google finance website this app does not deliver. I can't seem to even search Canadian stocks no matter what I do and I have issues adding stock to my portfolio. As much as I hate to say it Google needs to take a page from Apple's book to at least have an app that works.
